After Trump's stream appearance with Adin Ross, Kamala Harris' team approached streamer Kai Cenet to try to get him to host her. He talked on his stream about it today and how he said nope

I think a lot of people still underestimate the ripple effects of the cultural cordon sanitaire around Trump breaking down in recent weeks and months. Aside from a few, isolated pockets within the right-wing media ecosystem, Democrats held a hegemonic rule over the medial and cultural space in both 2016 and 2020, yet Trump was still able to go toe to toe with them at the ballot box.

This time around, his reach to constituencies who are not naturally inclined toward him will be far greater. Which is exactly what he needs to make inroads with young voters, particularly hispanics and black men. Yes, it won't have a huge impact, but in an election which will be decided at the margins, this is imho a significant development.

Imho, the time period during which Biden looked dead in the water did lasting damage to Democrats in this sense. A lot of Americans resigned themselves to the idea of a second Trump term during those weeks, and secretly concluded that that's okay. I don't see how Kamala restores those torn down walls. Nor do I see how she comes out ahead in a presidential race in which both sides duke it out, blow for blow, until the bitter end.

I don't think Democrats have a chance unless they replace Kamala from their ticket. While many are elated with Walz joining the race, many others have already decided Never Kamala. As for Trump, he should take a lesson from Biden and relax in a basement not put foot into mouth so often. He wasting the favorability the unfortunate assassination attempt gave him.

Vance is far smarter than Walz, as long as he prepares well, he is the one who should win the veep debate.

I agree on Trump, though. Until the convention, he had displayed uncharacteristic discipline and focus this year, which served him VERY well. Since then, he has fallen back into his usual bad habits, name calling Kamala and nonsense like that. He should dedicate his air time to exclusively talk about inflation/the economy, about immigration/crime, and about the foreign policy mess the Biden/Harris admin created.
