Ya know what's funny? The Dems won't let anyone run who they don't have in their pocket, so to speak. This ofc will mean that Trump will get re-elected because none of the Dem candidates are worth a shyt.

It's a catch-22. If the Dems did put someone up who was decent, then they wouldn't have control over them. The Dems, protecting their own interests and skullduggery, is exactly what will get Trump re-elected.

You`re missing one key difference:

During the campaign, Trump didnt insult groups of voters that he needed. Hillary did, because she thought that she wouldnt need those "deplorables" anymore. So she couldnt resist the temptation to show the contempt and disregard which she, Obama and other Democrats had long been harboring for the white working class and rural voters in general.

It's not about the deplorables comment in isolation - it's that this comment was the confirmation and climax of an alienation process between the Democrats and the white working class that had been going on for a long time. Just think back to Obama's disdainful comment about how these people "... get bitter and cling to their guns and religion".




Oh, btw, just for the record: Republicans get punished just as hard for such comments if they make them about a voter group they still need - just look at Mitt Romney's "47%"-comment in 2012. This comment also hurt him a lot because is symbolized and confirmed the contempt of that era's GOP for poor(er) people.

The defeat of the Romney-Ryan ticket in 2012 was the repudiation of the "Koch brothers agenda" by the GOP electorate, just like Hillary's defeat in 2016 represents a repudiation of her agenda of "status quo on economic issues & sharp turn to the left on social/cultural issues".

Biden is pretty much the only one that can realistically beat Trump even without bad economic news heading into the election

Take tulsi as the vp which is the right move for most nominees

The idea that the dems are holding back someone that could beat trump is nonsense. The one that can and is most likely to beat trump is right there on the top. A slam dunk vp pick sitting right there as well

Will they pass up Biden for a terrible choice like Harris? Maybe we shall see but they certainly arent doomed yet with the one person that can beat trump still at the top

I consider her to be like Clinton. She's a fake. She gave that boo hoo on buses to attack Biden when she locked away black men for non violent crimes. She was a law and order tough on crime type of power that now wants to pretend she will be a criminal justice reform warrior while at the same time saying nonsense about being tough on crime in regards to defeating and taking on trump.

In the important areas vote wise Biden is a shoe in and I dont think Harris will have that same appeal. She wants that Obama shine but she has Clinton stink all over her

Personally I have zero trust in her. Her proposed policy is a mixed bag for me but her record speaks much more to me than her empty words.

If the Dems win, they win. I don't think it will be good for the country, but just like when Obama won... twice, life goes on.
I have... viewpoints on political thing, ofc... but I really don't get emotionally involved anymore. Haven't, for a pretty long time now.
