One thing I strongly disagree with the Trump administration is environmental issues, and he seems old school, ignorant, and stuck-in-his-ways regarding this.
https://www.politico.com/story/2019/08/12/trump-administration-eases-endangered-species-rules-1655594Currently I'm only seeing left-wing news sites report this, so I have to wonder how much of the reporting is just another jab at Trump or how much conservatives are willing to look the other way.
I'm green, always have been. Grew in the Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts, enjoyed this country's national parks. I'm a Teddy Roosevelt fan when it comes to Americanism. It pains me to watch so many so-called "learned" people dismiss climate change and how much damage we humans can inflict on the environment, when the evidence is right there in front of us (almost every large species of animal in the world is in a state of existential threat). Many of these people are Republican, right-wing, and conservative. The "conservative" part baffles me because, as a conservative, one should be concerned about conserving the environment and the world we share. But no, that conservationism takes a back seat to big industry and capitalism.
