So the chick that got refused entry by the UK, Shamima Begum, has a husband (they married whilst in Syria), called Yago Riedijk. That guy has the Dutch nationality. He wants him and his family back in the Netherlands. He's already been convicted in absentia of participating in a terrorist organization and convicted to 6 years in prison.

There's a large group of people who are in favor of letting them rot in Syria or wherever they are, but there is a very good argument to be made that your citizens are also your responsibility. Other complicating factors are the child (if parents were to enter the Netherlands their legal guardianship would be removed and the kid would likely be adopted, which is imo the best outcome), and the fact that their marriage is simply not legal in my country (marriage can only be between adults here), and thus will not be recognized.
Personally, if there was a way to get the kid here without the parents that would be 100% the right choice. Second best choice is letting her stay there and putting him in prison and compulsory psych eval and rehabilitation.
In a very sad way, problem solved.
The infant died in Syria, which means that there's really zero reason to take them in anymore.
