Not sure how anyone can argue the way this election turned out is a complete shit show.

You would think that in 2020 there would be a better way to count votes.

Not sure if there was fraud and to what extent but it was really obvious when I voted that it actually wouldn't be that difficult to commit fraud.

If you know a bunch of your neighbors names and know they won't be voting it's easy as fuck to vote for them.

afaik the process of visually confirming the ballot is signed, then opening it, then running it through the machine is standard.

if we had a machine that verified it was signed on its own i think we'd still have allegations its rigged.

It's almost like calling McCain a loser for getting captured at war wasn't a smart political move for a guy who is loved in Arizona (and pretty universally by everyone). The ghost of McCain won Arizona for Biden. I actually thought Trump might come back and take AZ, but at this point he needs something like 60-65% of the outstanding votes to flip it to Trump and that seems unlikely. Should end with Biden winning AZ by about 20k votes.

Similarly, GA turning to blue can be considered "the revenge of Stacey Abrams", whose voter turnout efforts since her 2018 defeat got Biden over the hump in her state. (GA might still end up in Trump's column, or remain unresolved forever, after a recount and court battles).

both this vote and Stacey Abrams are a direct result of Killer Mike, TI, and their lot getting away from diamond chains and flexing and into the business/politics game.

they've really turned Atlanta around in that regard and activated a number of voters that should scare the GOP shitless, especially after they see Biden take GA and realize they really can make a difference.

and for the record they did it by working with local businesses, local police, local politicians, etc. its a great model for racial unity nationwide that should be copied.

Yeah, looking at the demographics and in-migration patters in Georgia, it looks irredeemable for the GOP. Even if Trump had held on this year, the state would have been gone in a few years.

With Trump out of the way, the GOP can staunch the bleeding in the suburbs, and the potential for them to make inroads with hispanics is definitely there. AZ, PA, NC - they can win back or hold on in those states. But the groundswell of young and/or black voters in Atlanta, coupled with its suburbs turning from ruby-red to light-blue, seems insurmountable.

70k vote spread in WI, MI and PA in 2016 gave Trump the White House.

And Trump by definition did not have a powerful mandate, despite the strong performance by Republicans that year. The same is true here, especially because voters backed Republicans so strongly in the House and Senate.
