Just for the record: I'm a German and consider the things going on in my own country a "shitshow" too. I fucking hate our current administration, media and mainstream. I oppose the EU in its current form and am highly sceptical that reform will be possible without tearing everything down and building it up again from the ground again. I have no intentions whatsoever of Germany ever ruling the world again - I just want my country to no longer be the paymaster for others, I just want my country to no longer pursue insane, self-damaging policies on almost each and every field.

Wow. I almost feel bad for trolling you now.

Not really though. Why don't you preach that message, rather than the face you've been presenting?

Just saying.

Proud American here, who has no cause to put Germany first. ;)

This is the message I am preaching. I'm just not a sheepish partisan hack, when "my" side does something genuinely bad, I wont hesitate to call them out for it.

Neither will I. The burden of proof, however, is on you. If you consider my side to have done something bad, prove it to me. I'll call them out on it.

What I saw was 8 years of the president I voted for (Obama) advancing the globalist EU agenda proposed by Germany. Now, for two years, we've had that agenda absolutely put to a full stop, and over four million jobs have arisen in the US as a result.

Tell me. What has my side done wrong? We've looked out for our own. In the meantime, the truck massacres, suicide bombings, and mass rapings have rampaged your nation.

Maybe it's time to Make Germany Great Again too, eh? MGGA your own nation, brother, because from overseas, it certainly looks like a shitshow.

do you actually consider yourself to be a "good" guy, or to be "on the right side of history" when you're sitting in front of your computer drooling at the idea of others suffering and having a miserable future?

Good post my friend.

what you describe is the most normal thing in the world, looking out for own people is the purpose of a national state and ours is slowly disintegrating

barely a week without migrant atrocities, just last night a young german woman was butchered by an illegal from tunisia
illegally entered the country, multiple fake names, criminal record and already with a warrant of arrest
still here of course

also it was revealed today that the state systematically failed to make investigations after getting information about syrian war criminals and islamists entering germany
thousands of possible cases were reported, only a handful of investigations followed

of course we have no idea how many of those have come here, are still here or whatever has happened in the meantime

well, i guess you have seen the pictures back in 2015/16 and this is the result
just a normal day here, in a country where wicked moralism and virtue signalling are more important than lives and laws

the political class and the political left have surrendered our state, its a gigantic self service, all you can eat and the average citizen is paying the price

i hope you will be accepting german refugees in the near future

A simple article wrote by a famous journalist

Europe is in the grip of conspiracy theories – will they define its elections?

https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2019/feb/01/europe-conspiracy-theories-eu-elections

Fart-right is more dangerous than anything.

oh look, a privileged frenchie journalist, who had a good time on a student exchange, needs to lecture the rest again
of course it doesnt occur to her that millions of others dont have exactly a good time with the european union in its current state

and while i do NOT approve of how orban, just to name one example, is handling things right now, the overall message is correct
the EU can not be trusted, it is not democratic (enough), it has long abandoned its actual purpose

it systematically refuses to stop mass migration, which is a fact, and brexit is not the result of conspiracy theories, but instead their own failure

its amazing how some people always try to blame others for their own failures, the EU and leftist governments have caused the current problems, but its easier to point the finger at those who want to fix them

I bet it's Arron Banks.

The single biggest known British political advertiser on Facebook is a mysterious pro-Brexit campaign group pushing for a no-deal exit from the EU. The revelation about Britain’s Future, which has never disclosed the source of its funding or organisational structure, has raised concerns about the influence of “dark money” in British politics.

The little-known campaign group has spent more than £340,000 on Facebook adverts backing a hard Brexit since the social network began publishing lists of political advertisers last October, making it a bigger spender than every UK political party and the government combined.
