Why do we live in a world where seasoned politicians who have been in office for decades keep choosing losing battles that only an idiot wouldn't realize are losing issues, like quadrupling down on Ilhan Omar, but the guy who shaved Vince McMahon's head on national television keeps consistently picking his fights to be politically advantageous? If Trump chips even a small dent into the homogeneous black support for democrats in 2020, especially if they're foolish enough to run a candidate that alienates them, it will shut down their chances entirely

It would be really surprising if the blacks in America started joining the Klan rally.

I have met a black skinhead with a swastika tattooed on his head so they're out there sir.

I agree with the broader message, but I'm not so sure about the bolded part.

Trump chose to go for the shutdown over the border wall, and it was an unmitigated disaster for him, politically.
He was also the one urging his party in the summer of 2017 to try again with the Obamcare repeal, despite a previous attempt having already failed. He pushed for this "win" even though it was already crystal clear at that point that the attempt would cause his own party's caucus to reach a breaking point, and that it was highly unpopular with the public.

fair enough its not like its a 100:0 ratio, but its definitely lopsided

I would put it like that: Trump has great policy instincts, but horrible political instincts.

He said he really really didn't like other black people.

Agree with him or not, you know his beliefs have been tested.

The meek will inherit the earth...those persecuted for the sake of righteousness shall inherit the kingdom of god.

He was interesting; I'm interested in humanity in the extremes and on the margins.

Race to the bottom there lol.

to quote myself, ‘yeah, peak job market (employee’s market), peak stock performance, high economic performance benefiting Americans of all different backgrounds’ is not “racing to the bottom”. only one group is headed in that direction. The lefty (D)s. anyone who used to be or is somewhat sane is ostracized like Biden and eventually Buttigeggegig whatever (Alfred E Neuman) and Gabbard and Yang.

President Trump having good policy instincts outweighs any political kabuki. i wouldn’t bother much with thinking through dealing with a bunch of taxpayer-leeching lifetime politicians who enriched themselves off of the labor of the masses either.

how did you need to edit a post with six words?

e: reported, btw

Obama recovery has been great for America and I'm glad Trump was able to run with it and not drive the economy into the ground. Good thing he is on Twitter all the time and golfing.

I like when Republican presidents are laissez faire with the economy.
