If Trump was indeed as racist as you say, then why does the nytimes feel the need to blow a nothingburger completely out of proportion to feed the Trump=racist narrative?

Either he isnt as racist as he's purported to be, or the times tries to smear him with a nothingburger story despite having lots of real missteps they could report instead. Either way, it proves their strong anti-Trump bias and casts a shadow on their reputation as a newspaper of record, and on their self-image as an arbiter of truth.

Resf of the media echo chamber picked up that NYT story. WaPo, USA Today, The Guardian, Daily Beast, Huffpo all echoing an article about a 0.13 second long clip spliced into a montage without a caption.

Why do they feel the need to do this so regularly? Does nobody stop and look for themselves at how truly insignificant and contrived the story is? It relies on the reader being too lazy to click on the ad and try to find that image. And it took me quite a while, at first I assumed they cut the clip and reuploaded it. Then I realized it was a 4 frame long splice.

When the demand for Trump Racist exceeds the supply, they need to manufacture it on their own.

when his brownshirts keep denying the obvious, it's necessary to remind them. and seeing how desperate you were to get ahead of the narrative and spin it in the most trump-friendly way possible, by ignoring the substance and attacking the media again, it clearly shows this is still necessary.

Yeah its definitely me spinning something and ignoring the "substance", as I point out how the NYT just contrived a media cycle out of the lack of captions declaring nationalities of each person in a 0.13 second long in-context clip of Joe Biden in Beijing. There's no way I'm the one being deconstructive here, its clearly a measured analytical breakdown by the NYT of the frame by frame action, in all 4 frames. They really exposed that subliminal cryptoracism.

A narrative can, but doesnt need to be true. It depends on the factual basis of the narrative. Trump pushing birtherism is certainly a stronger piece of evidence for his alleged racism than a 0.1 second frame from a campaign clip, to name just one example. Trump might be racist, or he's not - but what's for certain is that this clip definitely doesnt do anything to prove it.
