This just in, the president of the united states is just "someone" and does not have a deranged fan base who literally excuse anything he does and take all of his words as gospel.
If phil anselmo called for mass murders there would be mass murders, trump has a lot more power, even his regular racism is clearly having an effect.

This is correct. Frankly, Republicans don't know how to govern. We haven't had a good Republican president since HW. We've had some solid GOP governors (Romney, Hogan, Perry, etc.) but they are the exception to the rule.

"havnt had a good GOP pres since HW Bush" isnt really saying too much. a streak of 2 polarizing or bad (depending on viewpoint) presidents from the same party isnt really meaningful.

the democratic party also had a streak of 2 loser presidents in a row in LBJ and Carter.

In fairness the last person I'd wanna see after suffering such a grievous loss would be Trump. I'd be liable to do something silly.

You might not wanna be around him and I might not want to but trump is the type of guy that'll grab a phone and call someone and it'll matter to some people. Do I think he is an empathetic person? Nah but it's not what I think or what you think. If he reached out to people and if some of those people appreciate it and want to welcome him that should be encouraged and supported imo. Further division isn't needed after tragedy. If people dont wanna be around him they don't have to be but some do and that's alright

That's why you gotta make them count! Ultimately, Republicans do better as the minority party so we should keep it that way.
