How else do mounted police take someone into custody? Pull him up on the back of the horse?

Out of curiosity: which of the two parties is closer to your policy preferences these days?

I choose the third way RINOs/blue dog Democrats.

Makes sense for congressional races and local elections - but which party would have your vote in the next Presidential?

Isn't it difficult having no political power representing you?

On the whole, I'm probably closer to Republican orthodoxy than Democrat. But in practice, Republicans don't give a fuck about spending unless a Democrat is president, so I'll take a Biden over a Rubio/Haley. Plus, Mitch would block all SC appointments if he holds the senate.

No... it allows me to maintain my unique snowflake status.

Oh wow... that you would pick Biden over Trump was obvious, but that you would even pick him over Rubio/Haley really surprises me.

About the Senate and the SC appointments: this strategy wont work indefinitely. It worked, once, for one year, in the case of Garland. But I'm sure he couldnt pull off something like that if the next presidential election was, say, 3 years in the future. Similarly, the Senate couldnt realistically block a very centrist judge indefinitely. Stonewalling a Democratic president into nominating a truly conservative judge just wont work.

I think Biden would have a more sensible foreign policy and would be more likely to compromise on issues. Rubio/Haley would just be big government Republicans like Trump without the tweets and trade war.

I think SC nominees getting approved by the opposition party controlling the senate will be a relic of the past(and a Democrat president wouldn't nominate a Scalia, obviously). Democrats could play the grown up and return to normalcy, but I doubt it. Why would they? It's not like it would result in Republicans becoming sane again.
