The companies are covering their ass to limit their financial risk to legal actions.
It's cheaper for them to spend money on useless diversity and inclusion training, rather than to do something productive.

I don't know if it's a feeling or not, however I believe it's quite close to being instinctual. Like people don't really have a conscious choice over it. You don't choose to be gay any more than you choose to be straight.

I never said I would be actively discriminating against people (though this thought is very tempting). I am just saying that you shouldn't assume that tolerance is a universally accepted value.
