So, is it not attack will happen, or no?
Don't know why I keep having to re-explain what is happening, but sure.
This is basically what happened:
Feb. 16th came and went (the supposed original Russian invasion date), it looked like maybe things would settle for a minute. Turned out to be wrong.
The next day on the 17th, the Ukrainian army began massive preliminary shelling of DPR and LPR territory, as well as initiated some attempted sabotage operations using their special forces which resulted in light skirmishes on the outskirts of a few villages, and some deaths amongst their ranks.
By now it becomes clear that the Ukrainians have decided to attack DPR. 700 thousand people evacuate from Donbass in response, and now DPR and LPR militia forces have fully mobilized and are prepared to defend against an invasion of their territory. The threat of military action by Ukraine is now extremely high.
Unless the Ukrainians decide to call off their operation (could still happen, but it's not likely) there are only 3 scenarios which could unfold now:
1. Ukraine attacks, DPR and LPR hold back the assault without needing assistance from Russia. Both sides take serious losses but Ukraine fails to capture any territory or encircle Donetsk or Luhansk - the nightmare can than end here in this scenario once the Ukrainians realize they have no choice but to give up. Crisis over.
2. Ukraine attacks, breaks through the front line and achieves success of their initial objectives. Russia, realizing Donbass needs help, responds with long-range artillery and missile strikes on the attacking Ukrainian troop formations, but without setting any boots on the ground in Ukraine. The Ukrainians retreat and DPR/LPR recover lost territory. Crisis ends, but Biden uses it as an excuse to pass sanctions anyway.
3. Ukraine attacks, breaks through the front line and achieves major success, creating a major existential threat to Donbass and all of its inhabitants. Russia faces major internal pressure to defend against what Russia has declared a genocide of civilians in Donbass. They launch a full-on assault against the invading Ukrainian forces using a combination of air, artillery and missile strikes and deploy paratroopers on Ukrainian soil to attack from the rear and completely destroy the Ukrainian army's invasion force. Thousands of Ukrainian soldiers die in a matter of days. Russian forces then withdraw once the threat to Donbass is eliminated. This would be a devastating blow to Ukraine. This is the only scenario where Biden could claim that Russia "invaded" Ukraine, but even so, it would come only as a response to Ukraine's aggression against Donbass. Nevertheless, it would create a major political crisis and Biden's regime would be able to use it to destroy ties between Russia and Europe completely - their main objective.
My money is on either scenario #1 or #2. Whichever scenario ends up unfolding, I'm not gonna let any moronic goons blame Russia for what is undeniably Ukraine's aggression against Donbass. They are the ones threatening to start a war and they are doing this on the orders of a foreign power (Biden.) They are the ones creating a situation where Russia may have no choice but to intervene.
What Ukraine is doing is both disgusting and pathetic. Offering themselves as sacrificial offerings for Biden. And just like 2014-2015, they will take no personal responsibility for anything - while continuing to blame Russia for everything. Not a single one of their political "leaders" will take any responsibility for the deaths of their soldiers or civilians, which they caused by starting this war. Not a single one of them will console the families of dead Ukrainian soldiers - preferring to blame their own ineptitude and warmongering on Russia until the bitter end.
The faster the world awakens to Ukraine's bullshit, the better. I'm tired of watching these criminals play these disgusting games, at the cost of the lives of their own people.
