Sure, i can put an addict in a room full of coke and he technically has the choice not to do coke. Just not realistic, and the person putting him in the room is an asshole.

Where is all this coke and why can't i find it?

God doesn't force salvation on anyone because of free will. Also, He will only save those who are willing to place their faith in Him because how could He run heaven with people who refuse to obey Him? You must have faith to obey.

The Christian canon is dependent on people with faith not necessarily obeying God. (Adam and Eve)

In the Christian canon God has created beings in heaven that knew for a fact he existed and yet still disobeyed. (Lucifer)

So your argument fails even within your own logic.

Who has the highest and clearest right to every Christian's daily and nightly prayers, for the plain and unassailable reason that his liberty was the first and greatest need, he being among sinners the supremest?

Probably because your English teacher was a semite who needed unnecesarry punctuation to aid in reading opposite to their native language direction.
