Populism and foreign meddling coming to a temporal majority in votes that most ppl regret with hindsight.
"It's the will of the ppl", is absolutely bullshit.. The ppl were misinformed on the impact of a Brexit, they were not given the information to make a proper decision.

Apart from that: An advising referendum being made decisive by a politician that does not want to be held accountable for doing his job is not my type of democracy.

this excuse seems to be pretty popular nowadays
you can undermine every single election/referendum with this argument, i could also say that most merkel voters have no idea how harmful her policy really is and thats how she got reelected
its not my business however, adult citizens are able to make their own decisions (and have to live with the consequences)

do you even realise that this patronising attitude is a major reason for this to happen in the first place? same goes for the election of trump

No. Because what we have is a parliamentary democracy. It failed over the Brexit issue and had to bow down to a ridiculous assertation of open democracy. Nothing parliamentary about it. Straight up mob rule. Dumbest shit I've ever seen. They all thought it'd be fine 'cos nobody would actually be dumb enough to vote leave. Never underestimate the ignorance and stupidity of the plebs. Representative democracy, parliamentary democracy, was put in place to protect us from that stupidity. On Brexit it failed because of Cameron's hubris at making the referendum more than advisory.

Because it's one of the world's greatest economic powers.

the exact reason for the temporal majority is not really that important. But feel free to feel patronized.
