Be a good little lapdog slave and cuddle up to your masters. What a great message. Who needs freedom anyways right?

Define freedom for us please so we know what you're talking about when you use that vague term.

The definition of freedom is not complicated. Freedom means that which the government does not control. You are free when the government cannot steal your income, when it cannot tell you what to say or with whom you may or may not associate. You are free when the government cannot take your kids and send them to far-flung wars to kill and be killed. You are free when you control your life, your property, your church, your business, and your future. You are free when the government cannot inflate away your savings, tax away your profits, lay waste to your dividends by regimenting corporate life, or controlling how much of what you buy and sell and from where.
Lew Rockwell.

The ability to do what you want without government infringement as long as you aren't harming others and preventing them from doing the same.

The idea that we should be a grateful little mongrel or goldfish that is literally owned and controlled by other people is highly disturbing.
Would you say that is conducive with freedom? Are you a willing muppet? Are you pro-slavery? Or do you disagree with his assessment that advocating freedom from government is a negative trait?

Rockwell's definition of freedom is shitty and sounds like anarchy. I wouldn't want to live in that kind of world. Most people would agree with me.

Your definition is also unworkable. There are things that are LIKELY to harm others which is why they are illegal. For example, YOU might be responsible with an anti-tank gun...that doesn't mean EVERYONE should have one though. Because of this, your freedoms have to be abridged. Tough luck.

You might not like too much more freedom from government control, but it doesnt mean the definition is bad. I went with what I liked and could find quickly.
You want people to be restricted from having the freedom to do various peaceful things. Its ok to admit it. That is the first step.

Feel free to define it differently.
You dont have to be a libertarian or anarchist to agree that being a good little lapdog or goldfish owned by someone else isnt a good thing conducive with freedom.

Of course I do and that's a good thing. Way too many idiots out there who would abuse it. However, I'd argue that we have more EFFECTIVE freedom by having government control certain aspects. That is, through restrictions, we actually get to enjoy our freedoms more.
