I'm not sure if her race really is irrelevant here. Would Trump have reacted the same way to a white congressman with Swedish origin advocating far-left policies?
However, you're right that the main point is culture/country of origin, so xenophobic is indeed the better term to describe it than racist.
Of course it's not a good idea. Fuck their shithole countries of origin, fuck the shithole culture they brought with them and now try to spread in America.
A president still cant just go around and basically say "even though you came here legally and have U.S. citizenship, you still dont belong here and should go back to where you came from, all because I dont like your ideas or the color of your skin or the place you came from decades ago".
I'm all with Trump in disliking the ideas of AOC, Omar et al. and almost everything they stand for - but figuratively expatriating them over it is still a big no-go.
he spent most of the beginning of his campaign attacking white politicians. oh and in the general election too. doubt it’s beyond him to do that (“go back to Sweden and fix shit there it’s a mess”) but the current “squad” is a group of women minorities who have cultivated their collective image around, you guessed, strictly being women minorities.
this has been coordinated by “the squad” (their term not mine) so that any and all criticism can be deemed sexist and racist
