Rightoids living vicariously through the Jews to engage in their latest crusade because their own populations are a bunch of godless heathens who would never fight for the holy land

I think Israel gets pointed to by Palestinian supporters in the way that it does because Israel vastly out-powers the Palestinians, and especially Gaza. Supporters of Israel often talk about how Israel is a state but that there "has never been a Palestinian state". If we lean into that argument, then being "a state" comes with certain responsibilities, expectations, and calls for accountability. If you can't handle the heat, stay out of the kitchen.

before the Israelis were given the land there wasn't a Palestinian state, and there still isn't, but that's the fault of the Israelites? not a lob at you, i just dont get the rationale.

i agree statehood carries responsibilities, and if given statehood gaza will fail to live up to them, and should israel respond they'd be condemned. israel response draws automatic condemnation due to a power imbalance. so we let arab states flood in enough weapons that the imbalance is closer?

there is imo only 1 solution, a DMZ like 1 mile wide border between the two. drop the blockade and let the gaza strip do what it always wanted to. fire rockets fruitlessly against the iron dome while its own people starve instead of feeding them. no one will build there or do business with them, but the blockade is a convenient excuse for their lack of prosperity. once it comes down then what? will people realize its a dead zone even without israeli "occupation"? of course not. it will be the american civil war all over. freeing the slaves wasn't enough, it didnt lead to prosperity. it led to economic stagnation. but the gazans have what the american slave population didnt, rich backers. shift the burden of gaza to iran and work on the west bank. split the palestinian cause in 2 and give the bleeding heart world what it wants, a free palestine, free to prosper or fail.

I am a man, I do t fantasize about defending myself (extremely strange you would think that), if anything I would fantasize about living in a world that is safe for my family and I to grow and live fulfilling lives. I am telling you what I would do if I were accosted by these scumbags. You can use your dumb word salad however you want to place yourself upon some moral pedestal.

I don’t understand why you need to paint the most normal people like myself as some sort of gun toting savage. Well, I do understand why, but I don’t understand how fucked up your life must be to reach the point of doing so.

You are a "man" crying on an online forum about how you would have shot a bunch of people in a situation that resolved without anyone being shot, so I'm not so much painting you as a gun toting savage, you just are one. Yeah my moral pedestal of "not shooting crowds of people" I am basically mother Teresa.

Chances are your attempted heroics would result about as well as this did and you'd get your ass beat though. Everyone's John Wick on the internet lol, fuckin larp BS.

Not that it is a fault of the Israelis, no. Just that if Israel wants to exist as a state, then it will need to be held to that standard. It doesn't mean that Gaza needs to have weapons flow to achieve militaristic parity, but that Israel will simply be held to a higher standard.

In a facetious world, the solution would be like that scene in Spongebob, and we can take Gaza and "push it somewhere else"--connecting it to The West Bank and having a contiguous Palestinian region.

I have difficulty accepting the idea that "Israel is 100% open to a peaceful two-state solution" given Israel's occupation of The West Bank--particularly when looking at H1 and H2 in Hebron. Massive displacement of Palestinian people, destruction of their homes, vast surveillance states, travel restrictions, and use of check-points and IDF-protected acts of violence against them. Huge violations of international law that no state/entity of people would accept being on the receiving end of, yet the international community is largely silent on this issue, and worse, continues to fund Israel.

and you're right. it's a silly talking point if you look at the fact that israel has deliberately and aggressively established a de facto apartheid system and pastrami'd (ariel sharon quote) large parts of west bank in order to divide it and make it impossible to return to palestinians due to "settlers" now having lived there for years. they have been following that policy for decades while discriminating against palestinians in a way that really reminds you of what jews have gone through in europe right before before nazi germany went all-in.

again, if anything i'm surprised that not more palestinians have turned to violence, given how brutal and unjust the illegal occupation is, and how severe the violations of human rights are. it's astonishing how western media, by and large, ignores that and almost exclusively focuses on attacks on israel. i mean, i get it to a certain degree in regards to german media. given our history, no one would want to even be remotely adjacent to ever criticising the jewish state, but as to the rest of the world... muslim victims simply have no lobby in the west.

this (jewish-american) comedian debunked many of the disingenuous talking points by US apartheid apologist:

really geography is hardly an issue for gaza. its not land Israel is dying to have, as compared to the west bank in areas such as Jerusalem. and for years it drew support because the pretense for it's "occupation" via a blockade was dismissed because the iron dome was seemingly impregnable. and the terror tunnels mostly resulted in someone popping out and stabbing 1 jew before they got sent off to an afterlife of 99 virgins. October 7th changed that, the iron dome failed and the insurgents killed thousands in insanely horrific ways. thats why we've had the response on the extreme left that we've had, denying atrocities and claiming the iron dome was dropped to give pretense for an invasion. many hard liners cannot let october 7th change their position, so in the face of seemingly overwhelming reason to they deny deny deny. then we have the issue of dividing by zero, people who agree hamas must be defeated but maintain that this can be done in some imaginary way where no people are forcibly moved and no demolition is done or bombing. idk how that's supposed to work.

i agree the west bank and gazan causes are intrinsically linked, but realistically each has to be dealt with in a vacuum to even have a chance at a solution. they're too dissimilar to link on the ground.

This is welcomed. Hoping it's true. Still would leave around ~150 hostages though

Hamas is reportedly prepared to Release at least 50 Duel-Citizen Hostages to the International Red Cross in Southern Gaza following Negotiations between the Terror Organization and Qatar; according to the Red Cross, once they have Custody of the Hostages they will be Turned Over to Isreali Forces along the Border with the Gaza Strip in order to be Reunited with their Families.

I wonder how much of the delay in the ground invasion has to do with trying to get as many of these people out. Or is it about better prepping for a very difficult urban war bound to be filled with traps?
