Also keep in mind that all the things you said dont change the simple fact that an additional supply of cheap labor in capitalism inevitably leads to depressed wages. So the American worker suffering from this sees two options to change it:
First option: stop mass immigration.
Second option: end capitalism and replace our entire economic system with something else.
Guess which of these two options seems more realistic and attainable...
holy mother of simplistic hackery, now that's a false dichotomy if i've ever seen one... how about adapting capitalism? minimum wages are a thing, you know? worker protection and living wages once were celebrated as achievements of modern society - that was of course before corporations became people, money became speech, and politics became a show to distract the people from how they are being exploited...
i know this is probably too sophisticated for you, but you don't have to go full capitalist, as a matter of fact there isn't a single nation on this planet that is.
