The tldr is the following: instead of getting more money, his staffers will get less hours at the same compensation to push the wage/hour up to the demanded $15/h, so that his campaign can save face in public.

It essentially shows that even an employer who agrees that his staffers deserve to be paid $15/h and who would love to pay this hourly wage still cant give it to them, simply because the money just isnt there.

of course! each employee gets “$15/hour equivalent” and has their total hours worked reduced to either “equivalent to” (if they’re lucky) or less than what the level was before.

Also keep in mind that all the things you said dont change the simple fact that an additional supply of cheap labor in capitalism inevitably leads to depressed wages. So the American worker suffering from this sees two options to change it:

First option: stop mass immigration.
Second option: end capitalism and replace our entire economic system with something else.

Guess which of these two options seems more realistic and attainable...

It's not like more cheap labor makes it more expensive to produce, or decreases the productivity of labor. The market does not exist separate from non economic pressures

You dont understand capitalism. Even without employers exploiting the weak position of illegal immigrants, even if we made sure that they can only work in legal jobs where they and their employers both pay their full taxes, it would still lead to an increase in the supply of labor, which would still lead to depressed wages.
