The truth is savage, but its just that, the truth, it doesn't have to be good or bad or classy or hateful.
She went to Somalia in an effort to show the world the beauty of her country firsthand, and was promptly blown into a chunky red salsa by Al-Shabaab.
And you can take from that event what you will. Is it evidence that Somalia is a shithole filled with terrorism and violence? Oh yeah. But maybe you can look at it through the lens that there are people inspired enough to make their country a better place even if it means putting their lives at risk, and that show of character should reflect on the human potential across a generation that don't all want to follow in the footsteps of their wartorn past.
