British officials voted by a large majority, by 502 votes to 20, in favor of an amendment supporting the proposal of the British Prime Minister. This strategy provides for a brief postponement of the Brexit date - set for March 29 -

so who are the 20 ?

Sorry for double post:

80 Conservatives voted "no" but disguised it as "abstained".

Labours vote for their brexit deal got voted down in flames. Officially the party should now support a 2nd referendum - will be interesting to see how it pans out. I’m all for this as it’s a credible alternative to May instead of their previous ‘call a general election even though were polling 10 points behind’

Ah,

Brexit: George Eustice (Minister of State for Agriculture) resignation over Brexit delay vote

"I fear that developments this week will lead to a sequence of events culminating in the EU dictating the terms of any extension requested and the final humiliation of our country."

I'm not hoping less.

He's resigning because we don't want to leave with no deal, which is pretty stupid.

We knew before the referendum the EU would dictate most of the terms because they have greater bargaining power, but that didn't stop Mr Eustice from voting to leave the EU.

Chris Grayling, the MP that gave a ferry contract in the event of a no-deal to a company with no ships, has wasted another £33m of taxpayer money:

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-47414699

A few other examples of Grayling failing:

- Ruined probation service, costing £500m
- Awarded ferry service to company with no ferries
- New rail timetables caused delays for a year

> Still in May's cabinet

#failinggrayling is trending on twitter

Seems European elections are a major factor regarding the delay begged by UK:

- 3 Months is possible without major changes, and without UK does European elections (it's the maxim possible before the next EU parliament starts its activity)
- [But] EU is working on a two years delay agreement, i guess the "conditions" will probably go in EU favor by a way or another, requiring UK does [EU] elections or not, or others variations.

MAYBE a large delay is better by all means (security for markets & trade, next [general] elections in UK...)

In bold i need to know more.

Do you really want the EU to act like a spiteful, scorned ex towards the UK?
