Pretty sure any generational wealth in my family tree ended with the various genocides. Where's my reparations and affirmative action? No people have been murdered by anyone in my extended family unless you count those two turks via bayonet, and I don't consider roaches people.

When you come out of a period of explicit discrimination with no real compensation into an era of subtle discrimination coupled with the fact that it's tremendously difficult to get out of poverty, it's completely normal to see such stats.
