For some reason no matter what picture of Trump I see it never looks like his suite fits right.

I'd guess the major reason would be to hide his weight. He usually claims and has his his doctor claim he is like 230-240 when he is probably 280ish-290+

he also exaggerates his height which was most obvious when he was standing next to jeb

neither of these are uncommon things to do but I'd guess they would be the major factors

the ties being ridiculously long could be a part of that or some macho/rebellious thing he has in his head like a cocky belt buckle or wild socks

probably more like the belt buckle than the socks because he's def the type to want to draw attention to his crotch
