The actual teachings of Jesus tells people to be humble and have compassion for others. It's easy to be kind to people that you feel like deserve it. In fact, the bible has 22 verses that tells you not to oppress immigrants and Jesus once said "I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me."

So do the teachings of Jesus work in a modern society? Would those that actually follow the teachings of Jesus simply be labelled a commie bastard socialist?
