good post
Barnie is many things and consistent is one of them. Only time he really was not is when he managed to get out of the way of her -> turn during the (D) primaries in 2016 - even though he tried his hardest to stand aside and she kept running into him
http://i.imgur.com/GZhbHux.jpglike this for example - Barnie woulda dunked on any candidate this primary if they made such a blunder. this is dukakis in a tank, dean scream, rick perry level of OOPZ and he just kinda let it be and couple months later bam new beachouse
I think Bernie doesnt really want to become president, he just wants to get his message out there. Note how almost the entire (relevant part of the) Democratic field has adopted his vital policy positions like mediare for all.
And that's probably smart, strategically: he's too old to get through a term of this very stressful job, let alone two terms; and he has too few support within the Democratic Party to actually enact his policies. When establishment candidates like Biden, Booker or Harris promise those policies, they will have a much harder time backpedaling from them, and the DNC and the party donors will have a harder time stopping it when it comes from one of them instead of the "outsider" Bernie.
