http://www.startribune.com/rep-ilhan-omar-jointly-filed-tax-returns-prior-to-legal-marriage/511000692/oh shit, the mainstream media is finally going to cover Ilhan Omar's marriage scandal?
after the other day I was paying attention to which sites actually covered the tax fraud aspect of the campaign finance ruling, and sure you could read about it on the right-wing blogs or hardcore shill sites, but the only mainstream one to print an article in the first 24 hours was foxnews.com, which wasn't exactly heartening- and they consciously avoided ever mentioning at any point in their article that the man she married was her brother. I mean, they danced on eggshells to write this article;
https://www.foxnews.com/politics/ilhan-omar-violated-campaign-finance-rules-investigation-finds-as-questions-about-tax-status-arisebut the Star Tribune is the biggest paper in Minnesota. Not anywhere near as partisan as most MSM, and everyone seems to argue over whether its actually left or right- right wing owner, left-wing slant is the best summation.
Well they just printed that article. It steers almost entirely clear of the part where Nur Said Elmi is her brother- though it does at least mention the allegation and her denial, unlike fox
but the entire point of the article is the tax fraud it exposes, which is obviously true no matter what familial relations are involved. Of course, all the bajillion facebook/instagram photos made their sibling status undeniable too, and yet they deny it.
anyway, maybe the dam is breaking?
