I work for a multi billion dollar corp and literally 90% of cubicles have the gay flag. They have banners, they raised the rainbow flag next to the US flag outside, they put up collages, various volunteer events. It’s highlighted all over the company website, social media, etc. they even put up a mural in NYC. Not sure who the meme is exactly referring to, because I haven’t seen any opposition.

damn boys i would have thought the parody was all too obvious. it says "Like and Share if you don't give a damn" a clear reference to the conservative facebook groups that are all pseudo-southern-pride patriotism meme generators. like half the shit Ghot posts. the joke is no one is really offended by the Stars and stripes, just like no one is offended by the pride flag.

See, the mistake here is the "we're not offended" part. I'm not claiming to be "we" and i think anyone offended by either flag (like you) is worthless.

I still am interested in people's thoughts on the massive corporate profits accruing right now. Much more so than the flag conversation.

that's a topic that could easily carry a thread. the commercialization of pride month is fucking gross.

you could even do Duffman a favor and tie in trans rights being commercialized. I've heard a lot of 40+ year old gay men talk about that issue, both that gay people today do not have a struggle to galvanize them in the same way that 1980s gays formed an underground counter culture, and that trans acceptance is moving so fast that they feel it cheapens their struggle.
