I just assume that the marshals did identify themselves. I see no reason why they wouldnt. The fact that they drove to his house in an anonymous van doesnt mean a lot. For their own safety, they had every incentive in the world to show their badges or verbally identify themselves as law enforcement when they went in.
Also... let's not pretend that Reinoehl is comparable to a completely innocent and unsuspecting citizen whose house is suddenly raided by the police. He knew he had just shot a man, and there's something like a 98% chance that he was aware of the oustanding arrest warrant for him. He must have known that the police were out for him, so when armed persons raid his house, it's not believable that he didnt know what was going on; that he thought it was an armed robbery or anything like that.
