it was just unfortunate miscommunication that farage, johnson and their fellow fearmongers did not inform the "leavers" properly? stupid "public" for misunderstanding him, they should have known he didn't have the power to decide, it's their fault clearly...

The man ain't stupid. He knows that majority (note, i'm not saying all) of his or Brexit supporters consist of average Joes and Janes further away from London. He also knows that average Joe/Jane mostly get their views on domestic and global issues by reading the Sun. They are not the the sharpest tool in the shed, but one thing u can't deny is:a) there are millions of them, b ) they are very very patriotic. They have the Cross of St. George flying through their window, they are very sensitive about the NHS and immigration (bloody immigrants stealing our fucking jobs etc). Joe/Jane will never understand the fact that Farage is making empty promises, they are mostly incapable of critical thinking. They have no facts, figures , anything of substance to verify his claim. But they don't even needed. They just love that he's saying things they wanna hear.
