I'm with JJ Rousseau, when he said that the first person who ever roped off land and told his peers they couldn't use it should have been treated with laughter and derision. Because it is laughable really, an absurd notion that an individual can own a river or whatnot. But people pretend they do, and die thinking that river is theirs :lol:

I think it is more relating to wanting the fruits of their labor than wanting a plot of land. I think it stems from "Hey, I did all the work to make these plants be alive and so I should get to enjoy these plants being alive instead of you just taking what I worked for."

It's evolved into more land ownership than labor ownership, but still.

Personally, I'm not so much against nations as pro-unity. We would be better off with unified language, currency, and law. Also, USA could change to the metric system.

google will convert just about anything to anything as long as they are comparable units.

like type in 156 inches to cm bam 396.24 cm

if you plug in physics equations, you can use any kind of compatible measurement for the equation and it will output the correct measurement as the result.

you can also choose the measurement

like

5 min/35 miles = meters per second

187.75

or

5 min/35 miles = fathoms per hour

369,600

52 seconds/2 km = meters per second

38.46

it is not so easy to change to metric system, the result is more like you have to deal with another system in addition of the one you currently use, instead of replacing it
