At some point the kids figure out that he's not real or the parents tell the kids that he is not real. Either way.

Most kids will figure out that humans weren't alive 60 millions years ago too, just a matter of time.

The ones that don't I'm sure is a small percentage that don't know many other things and live on the margins of society anyway.
