https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zPOvVgZTJGgYesterday 19 year old teenager Keith Moses was walking down the road in Orlando, Florida when police officers charged out of a nearby squad. Within one second, an officer is pointing an AR-style assault weapon at him, complete with tactical scope and barrel shroud. Another exits the vehicle and immediately points a pistol at him with a ghetto side grip using a heavily tattooed arm. Shouting incoherently and filled with profanity, young Keith Moses has no time to react before less than 3 seconds later as one officer delivers a full force kick to his abdomen, like he was roleplaying Leonidas against the Persian ambassador. As the two officers brutalize and restrain him on the ground, Keith Moses begs for his life, screaming "I can't breath". Despite the next minute of Keith Moses screaming "I can't breath", nobody attempts to administer CPR or unobstruct his airways. They continue to ignore his cries for help and desperate shrieks as they get a knife to cut through his clothing and steal personal belongings from his pockets.
This should be a clarion call for BLM activists in Florida. Who will march for Keith Moses?
It happens to white people too and we don't cry to the whole world. We file a complaint and move on.
It happened to my Dad in the 90s, he sat there, complied as best he could, and took what they dished out. They beat him with their batons and cracked his tooth. He was a very scary looking dude at the time and had the training, expertise, and strength and kill them both. Just because two officers were real bastards doesn't mean they all are. After the fact, he calmly called the Police Department and made formal complaint explaining the situation. Those two officers were dealt with. Hopefully, they were held accountable in a manner that matched what they did. They also reimbursed him for his dental bill. Personally, I would have given them a one month suspension without pay and gave them additional training if they were new. If they were 30 year veterans of the force, they know better and I'd fire them so they don't do it to anyone else. I'd let them keep their pension too because I only want to punish them as individual. It's really not their families fault they happen to be an asshole.
