Was I fucking talking to you? Did I somehow tag you in error? I don't fucking think I did.

you still haven't figured out how a public forum works, huh? you literally asked a question: "How do we know that improved brakes would have prevented the derailment?" - i answered it.

unsurprisingly you didn't like the answer, because it once again exposes libertarianism as the joke it really is, but that doesn't change the facts, gramps.

My understanding is that it wasn't the initial quality of the brakes that was the problem, it was that needed maintenance was continually put off until it broke

LOL. Then what planet ARE you from. As soon as ANY group comes into power they start to corrupt... to stay in power.
You crack me up. :D

it's like you don't have the slightest clue about actual legislation, and all you ever contribute is simplistic partisan talking points...

look up campaign financing laws, and how progressives aim to change those. they are literally trying to make it harder / impossible for corporations to legally bribe politicians - so even IF they suddenly turned corrupt in order to stay in power, they'd have a much harder time (and face serious penalties) to receive such donations.

you know you lost the argument when all you have is hypotheticals and false equivalences trying to downplay the current corruption...

Being a public forum does not mean I am obliged to interact with everyone. We are not on speaking terms, so no matter what point it is you think you've made, you do not merit my participation in your posts.

You are a vile, contemptible participant of this forum, and you'll get nothing but scorn from me. I wouldn't stop to piss on you if you were on fire.

oh my, aren't you a sad little fella? way to illustrate how butthurt you truly are, lol. do you genuinely not realise how pathetic that is? mentally healthy people just ignore whoever they don't want to interact with. maybe seek some professional help for your anger issues, gramps. xD

Can't say we'd know it conclusively as im just learning about this recently but I think it's safe to say more modern braking systems would result in some kind of improved safety. I can't quantify it as im not an expert on railway technologies but its an interesting subject hence the topic.

You're not in the position to attest what mentally healthy people do. You know full well I have nothing to say to you, yet here you are still up in my notifications. Fuck off, cunt.

My problem with the video is that it seemed to start with a conclusion (that improved brakes would have prevented the derailment), but then didn't give any support for the conclusion.
