Russia let go of "an important naval base" in 1991. A base that is actually pretty useless to Russia if their goal is to oppose NATO because NATO blocks the deployment of ships from that base at their leisure.

Dude, that was obviously an attempt to explain something that had already occurred.

A prediction would be "Russia will lose this war" or "Ukraine will liberate XXX before YYY." By the way, I did make a prediction that Ukraine would liberate Kherson before the end of '22. That happened.
