Woke is originally a reference to when African Americans started realizing that the US never really moved beyond racial inequality.

It was appropriated by the right wing media because doing so is arguably a racist dog whistle while simultaneously fabricating a new talking point that "the left is woke."

Any intelligent human being suggesting that something is "woke" is almost guaranteed to be a right winger, which considering Jordan Peterson's history of being a right wing advocate, I would say that it is certain that he is a right winger.

If he is pretending to be voting for somebody on the left, it is simply an attempt to trick you.

The guy wrote books on "political correctness" for crying out loud...

It depends how you use the word. If you start ranting about "woke corporations" or how "the left is woke" then it's pretty clear what your political affiliation is.

The fact that he wrote a book on the right wing talking point of "political correctness," which doesn't actually exist in the real world, is a more clear indicator.

The right wing media is always trying to pretend that "they are under attack from the left" with talking points like "cancel culture" when in fact what is really happening is that somebody said or did something so disgusting that nobody wants anything to do with them anymore and they are trying to smear their personal loss on to their political enemies.
