Look at the divide between pro- and anti-vax people and it goes almost directly down political lines. This has never been about science, it's about people blindly believing what they hear from politicians/on the news/in their social media echo chambers.

Or.. the right ignore science if it harms their narrative.
I have never met a left wing flat earther or climate denier either.

You know what you are right I should have specified that I was solely talking about the COVID vaccination. Working nights has me tired these days.

Yes, the definition remains unchanged.

Covid is nowhere near as deadly as smallpox.

Also, the covid vaccines do not grant a person immunity to covid, it merely reduces severity of symptoms.

A spokesperson for the CDC said the previous definition could be interpreted to mean vaccines are 100% effective. This has never been the case for any vaccine.

This is hair-splitting.

Vaccines don't need to have 100% effectiveness to be qualified as vaccines. I'd say having a very high rate (and yes I agree this is subjective) is what they aim for. Depending on the scientist you ask, I'd say the consensus is that 95% or greater is the acceptable range.

But covid vaccines don't even begin to give you any sort of immunity against covid. They merely reduce the severity of symptoms if you catch it. They don't prevent the disease, they merely manage symptoms. In this regard, no, they are not true vaccines.

I am just wondering, what do you think the vaccines really do? We all know they are some nasty stuff, but I don't have enough knowledge in science to find out what they truly do. My guess is that they mess with one's germ cells but I am not sure.

The fact that they hard really hard to persuade people to get booster shots tells me that these vaccines' effects are probably not long-term. That's why the governments want the populace to keep getting re-jabbed.

Anyway would like to hear your thoughts.

In 2016 I had a longboard crash and got a scrape. They asked if I got a tetanus shot and I said I never had.. so they gave me over a double injection tetanus/whatever else is in the shot to ensure I was protected against it.

Later I learned the point of giving a tetanus shot when injured is simply to update it, and it's not effective at helping prevent tetanus in the injury you already got.

I quickly developed TMJ that gives me daily migraines for 3-5 hours a day, and it completely ruined my life. And that's a well understood, been around forever, vaccine. Since then I have a hard time trusting them, but there's more.

I got covid, it wasn't too bad. I'm a young, fairly fit, person. In early Nov 2021 the CDC said they have seen zero cases of people who've had covid, getting it again, and being able to spread it.

Zero cases. That's a zero percent chance I can spread covid.. so why would it matter if I get the vaccine?

Also, I had a friend who was the best gamer I've ever met. Our circle was all high tier, and we've played games together since the days of GoldenEye. We were playing nightly when he got vaccinated, and he had always been the best of us, forever.. that night he sucked.. and ever since then he's been holding us back when he used to hard carry in every fucking game ever.. it's scary how much worse he got instantly, at everything.

you ever hear of typhoid marry? she was a carrier and a spreader of disease she didnt have symptoms, a super spreader.
this mean the jabbed are just a bunch of super spreaders?

here it is the definition bullchit game
Why did CDC change its definition for ‘vaccine’? Agency explains move as skeptics lurk
https://www.miamiherald.com/news/coronavirus/article254111268.html

excerpt:
Before the change, the definition for “vaccination” read, “the act of introducing a vaccine into the body to produce immunity to a specific disease.” Now, the word “immunity” has been switched to “protection.”

its a bullchit game. that qualifies about anything as a vaccine "protection" vitamin c fits the new definition of "vaccine"
