Thousands of Kurds have been hanged in Iran many of whom during US-colony period of Shah, why is that? Begin with that. The events unfolding in the last days (has happened many times) and the context extends all the way to 1930's. It isn't an isolated occurrence, or one that only "happened" during Islamic republic of iran.

The main reason the "protests" haven't spiraled into open civil war is because PUK completely refuses to open Sulaymaniyah up for the Americans. Bafel has discussed this openly recently, that they won't allow such a thing. And iraqi-gov will never allow khanaqin to be used either.

I would disagree and argue that the death of any woman, or person is a big deal. In the context of the Iran today. The murder of Mahsa Amini was literally the spark that ignited the protests.
That is undeniable and blatantly obvious for that matter.

30000 kurds have been killed by iran since 1940's, and a large amount of azeris in iran conflicts. There has been open civil-wars between these sides at times. But sure, it is all about women's rights, im done with you. You can't educate vermin.

There is a civil war waged by PJAK since 1940. I know some former PJAK fighters personally. It is very evident that this is just an event being hjacked by separatists, which i even support. Just the timing is terrible and would lead to a bloodbath.
