What is the House supposed to do against a Democratic WH and a Democratic majority in the Senate? Domestic overspending has happened and can't be reversed, neither can Biden's lack of clout with Saudi Arabia or other OPEC countries which is based on past actions and statements. And with the midterms not delivering a shot across the bow for Democrats, they have no incentive to yield when it comes to their climate agenda and anti-fossils policies.

A Republican Congress, with solid majorities in both chambers, could have put some pressure on the Biden admin to "drill more" or to do more to fix supply chain issues - but on its own, a GOP House (with just a bare-bones majority) can't do anything to tackle inflation.

On the other hand, Walker's numbers were getting stronger the closer we got to November. Walker went from a polling underdog to slightly ahead just before the race. Unfortunately, a large chunk of early vote is locked in at that point. It will be interesting to see how that plays out with less than a month to go.
