Well, those "extreme predator advocates" can all fuck off. IMO, preference is not orientation, and the jackholes trying to normalize a preference for a subset of the population that cannot legally consent can pound sand.

Edit to your edit: Gender is a wide description, and maybe it even isn't the best description for my point. Sexual preference generally implies some level of choice, where orientation is not a choice.

I think Sirthom may have been raised by a Homosexual African American couple so his expert opinion on that front would be insightful. He’s also very intelligent and probably has a higher IQ than most of us.

In America we have religious freedom to worship at the altar of our choice.

So long as they are providing a safe and healthy environment for the child to grow up. While not hindering their freedom.

Adoption is a great option.

I honestly don't think there is anything wrong with discriminating against someone based on their sexual orientation. Of course, I know this is a very unpopular stance to take.

As for gays adopting, I really think they should look at all the normal, heterosexual families first. And if they have gone through them all and there are still kids left over that need a home, then they look at gay families. Allowing gays to adopt really should be a last resort.

That applies to any kid not just adopted. There are shit parents on both sides.

There is already a screening process to make sure parents are financially and mentally stable. It seems like you were a little shit when growing up. Many of us didn't have a choice and were given an ultimatum.

Just put your head down and bide your time, at least pretend. You may not agree with every parenting decision remember your child will be the same.
Better have a home then none at all, people often forget that back in the day kids were made to do labour, poor food rations and had 0 say. They would see the cane or dad would get the belt out just for talking back.

Be thankful you don't have alcohol/drug abusive parents that will beat you just because they feel like it.

I’m seeing a lot of “reasoning” on adoption but no one is arguing the fact that the Bible glorifies victimizing children. This is my concern. Can we trust someone who at the very least “sympathizes” with such behavior to raise a child safely?

Friend of mine honest hard working good person. But Christian nice guy all the way through.
Had adopted a girl at 6 months old. At 11 years old the tribe got involved and won custody and ripped the girl out of her family.. and now lives in a totally abusive family.
BS is all over.
