Those chants were a violation of political norms and shouldn't have happened. Still a big difference between the two situations.
In one case, you had supporters of a politician believing that their guy's political opponent committed a crime and should be prosecuted (and then locked up due to being guilty) for it. Nothing ever came from it.
In the other case, you had unelected bureaucrats and officials with actual authority flagrantly lying to the courts about the partisan and untrustworthy nature of their source, so that they can get the warrant to spy on the campaign of a presidential candidate whose policies they disagreed with. Then, after this guy became president against all odds, this investigation - which was predicated upon a brazen lie and a thoroughly discredited source - was extended in a transparent effort to undermine the presidency and erode the political capital of the democratically elected president they opposed.
