Y’all being whacky man. It’s not uncommon to answer the door with a gun. I look out my window first and if I don’t know who it is I let them see my 12 gauge before opening the door. I don’t point it but in full view I walk over to it, grab it and set it down next do the door.
I know you may think that sounds a little crazy but you know what? None of the people who got stabbed expected it. They weren’t ready for it. I don’t ever expect it, but you damn sure I am ready for it.
It absolutely is in Canada, we don't live in some dumpster fire where we assume everyone is out for evil.
And for the people who don't know or understand Canadian gun laws, anyone over the age of 18 can purchase a gun as long as they don't have a criminal record or a mental health record that would preclude them from owning one.
There's a lot of stupid in here who don't even remotely understand Canadian gun laws.
If there are questions surrounding them, post them up, ill try to answer as a person who owns four myself.
I guarantee most of the people in those homes owned firearms.
Also for those of you who have not lived on a rez or in a place dominated by indigenous people its incredibly common for people to just walk into each others homes. Its a family culture where people are over every single night or dropping off food from a recent harvest. Kids constantly running around everywhere or on bikes popping into each house to visit all their aunties and uncles.
