Science has no opinion. Everyone can view the latest results and papers. If you can't interpret them listen to a few leading experts working in Molecular biology or virology. Also be aware that information develops and can sometimes even be contradictory, the most stuff gets researched.

Sadly politicians (or maybe not all) are no trustworthy source of what's going on with COVID-19. They also know this information, but have to consider social effects and also want to be voted in next polls. They often do what's popular, even if it makes no sense.
So the measures takes by politicians may be heavily different in each country.

No good source of information: Youtube, Chatgroups, Websites that are close to a party or group of interest, gossip, friends, forums and last but no least random doctors. Most Doctors are no specialists when it comes to COVID-19 but have a firm opinion of what's going on. Specialists that mostly treat COVID-19 patients are excluded ofc.

It depends on the dis/misinformation, but it's usually fairly straightforward. There are few instances where it's legitimately difficult and I err on the side of allowing it in the open if there's any controversy.


It doesn't say in the Constitution nor any other founding documents that the majority can dictate what to think or do to the minority as long as judges think it's within reason.
