This is an interesting take. Ignoring the woman who was cuffed, then after released, saved her children in spite of the police...

Thanks to the Gun Free School Zones Act of 1990, any one of those parents stepping onto school grounds would have been a federal felony. https://www.congress.gov/bill/101st-congress/senate-bill/2070/text is the act if you're curious.

If there is a next time, I would not be surprised if any officer attempting to prevent a parent from saving their child in an active shooting is opened fire on.

I was pretty shocked when I saw attacks on parents at school board meetings. "How will you ever get the vote if you attack parents?" Now I've seen the literal murder of children, and the immediate politicization of that murder in order to remove the right to self preservation of the parents, as well as the removal of their ability to protect their surviving children.

BTW, Marx said that under no circumstances should the workers ever give up their arms. Until the workers hold control, they should assume that any and every attempt will be made to prevent them from owning their own means of production. Odd, isn't it, that Marx agrees with Conservatives?

The fact you think it's completely possible for a parent to make an active shooter situation worse by shooting at the police during it is more evidence that less people need a gun in their possession.

Had the police not prevented the parents from intervening, the shooter would have been dead and fewer children would have been dead far earlier. You talk about parents "making it worse", yet it couldn't get worse. Because how were things as they stood? A shooter was able to murder 19 children, 2 teachers, as well as injuring more, without any response whatsoever after over an hour.

No matter what way you twist this, the police made the situation so much worse, factually, like, this actually happened, additional six to nine year old children were ruthlessly murdered... Over the course of a very frenetic... Hour. These are people who are keeping you at gunpoint while your children are being executed. Are you going to fight them, or cry that your children are dead?
