Messed up what happened. It’s discouraging to think that a social or politically lead solution is unlikely in the forseeable future.

With that said please take what I’m about to say seriously. I genuinely think that there exist a viable solution by means of technology. The overwhelming cause of death due to gun related trauma is blood loss which makes think about what exist today (Kevlar?) and where we are in areas of material science and applied sciences. I think about iron man and how by endgame his mastery of nanotech is so amazing that it’s become a seemless integration to his body (his nanotech literally seals his wounds). I honestly think what we observed in a Hollywood movie is actually not too far ahead of what we can achieve in the near future. All it took was some human genius, an ideology that life is sacred and should be protected, and billions of dollars. Big tech companies share responsibility in what happened and I think they should lead the effort in finding an actual solution.
