If I go to the salon to get a haircut, that’s different from someone shaving my head at night. One is a personal decision, the other is assault. My hair is my property, and it’s my choice what I do with it. My hair, like a fetus, isn’t independent life.
So that's what I'm asking. Does the woman's choice in the matter is what gives value to the "thing" that is growing in her? I'm not trying to pose these questions as a "gotcha" questions but I'm in a position to learn.
I see your analogy but to compare a fetus with hair is a bit misleading. Because if you grow your hair predictably let's say 9 months, it's just longer but still remains to be hair. Where as the fetus in 9 months (supposedly because this seems to be a debate too) a whole different thing all together (from fetus to a human baby).
