Herbert Hoover was a world renowned humanitarian in World War I. He set up an amazing and massive humanitarian aid campaign for refugees in Europe. Liberals praised him as a god. Then he ran for US president in 1928 as a republican and won. Liberals turned on him and in less than 4 years turned him into public enemy #1 and FDR beat him in a landslide in 1932. they blamed Hoover for everything.
