Society can be wrong.
:)
of course. all kinds of societies have been "wrong" on all kinds of issues countless times. many of today's views (regarding fossil fuels, meat consumption, work, nation states, wealth distribution...) will probably be regarded as "wrong" by future societies, and they will change accordingly.
modern societies, however, have overwhelmingly concluded that everyone has a right to bodily self-determination, even women(!) - no matter how much you personally hate that. society's consensus is that abortions are a right, and not "murder".
let me crayon this up for you before you make that lazy, predictable pivot again: that does NOT mean you can't personally disagree with it, that you can't be a woman hating zealot incel, but it does mean that what YOU FEEL is "murder" should not be forced on society as a whole. it's NOT up to a religious fundamentalist minority to use political manoeuvring and legislative brute force to make a population that disagrees with them adhere to their outdated, backward views. i thought conservatives loved freedomâ„¢, self-determination, and small government? apparently only when those happen to align with your feelings and not as a matter of principle.
