trans issues are mental health issue, that doesnt mean mental illness with a heavily implied stigma tho.

we use mental health specialists to diagnose and direct hormonal treatment of trans people, i'd bet that trans rates of therapy visit about triple regular population and that's a good thing because its a stressful life to live im sure.

Personally, I don't think trans issues are necessarily mental health issues. I have talked to trans people who were apparently "normal" except for being trans. However, the fact that their sense of gender identity does not match up with their biological sex is evidence that there is something wrong with them.

Their condition is called gender dysphoria. Note the prefix "dys-". It means bad, or difficult, in medical talk. Apparently, experts in medicine agree that their condition is a disorder of some sort.
