You're conflating Syria with Libya. And yes I remember that incident well. I used it as an example during a speech that I gave in a public speaking class.

Personally I think it is pretty damning that Obama just decided to give Al-Qaeda an air force in Libya. You know, the same terrorists supposedly responsible for 9/11 a decade earlier? They would have done the same in Syria too if it weren't for the presence of Russian naval ships, air defenses and boots on the ground.
