both of those things are taught in school........what system should we be using? n why? n why would it make a difference?

Thats his point. You dont question what you say by habit.

No one has to believe in God to say oh my god or anything else god-relates Its just the way people talk, because thats what they learnt.

The argument that I probably believe in god, while thinking that I dont is the most ridiculous argument i've ever heard.

I understand what you think you accomplished but it's not as cut and dry as you make it appear.

Wonderful illusion you performed there. "He used the word phrase, therefore he is wrong and I am right" - you

e- typo

So when you say "cut and dry" you're really talking about wool, and not actually meaning... simple?

I'm simply going on what you've given me to work with.

If god doesn't exist why do you care if people believe in god. Aren't you just wasting your time, even thinking about such a foolish thing?

Its not foolish at all in my opinion.
Its a very interesting topic to me, I like it.

The human mind is very fascinating and understanding how it works is something I care about.

You not only claim to know what I believe in, you now also claim to know what I consider a waste of time and what not. Pretty hilarious.

If you're unwilling, then what do you wish to accomplish with this thread?

You give off the appearnce of a know it all and thus no one can change your mind.
Why ask a question if you've already determined the truth as it is to you.

Religion is a guidance tool for the lost.

Our understanding of science/biology has progressed and now contends with the symbolism of the religious texts.

There are holes in everything that one believes but some choose to believe regardless because of the benefits of being guided toward a righteous path.

Does an atheist believe murder is okay? If not, where did that belief stem from? You don't need to believe a dude walked on water to agree that killing another human is generally wrong.

This answer is as simple as my question. So I guess I have to say fair enough.

Despite my simple question tho, this answer isnt enough for me personally.

I personally would always need at least a slight hint into the direction of truth before I believe any claim, let alone an extraordinary claim.
If people believe the bible is god's word than my next question would certainly be: Why do you believe that?

This is a subjective answer. The reality is that it doesn't matter what it would take to get you to believe in God because God doesn't need you to believe in anything.

Holding God hostage to your expectations will never work out.
